| Released Chibok girls |
The president is yet to meet the girls as he was in Germany for talks with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel a few hours after the girls were released. They were received instead by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on his behalf.
The girls are part of the over 200 schoolgirls who were in April, 2014 abducted from a government secondary school in Chibok, Borno state, by Boko Haram insurgents.
Their release was brokered by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Swiss government. They have been reunited with their family.
It has been reported that the Islamic State-allied Boko Haram faction is willing to free 83 more girls if the Nigerian government is ready to negotiate.
There are also claims that about 100 of the girls are with the Abubakar Shekau faction.
